Fire doors and compartmentation
Door by door and area by area, a clear record of what needs attention.
Why it matters
Fire doors are one of the most common failings found in fire risk assessments.
A fire door only works if every part of it works: the leaf, the frame, the seals, the gaps and the closer. We inspect and report on each door so you know which ones protect the escape route today, which need attention and how urgently.
We inspect for managing agents, freeholders, schools, and commercial and sports venues.

Compartmentation surveys
Walls and floors that hold a fire where it starts.
Roof spaces, risers and service voids where they can be reached safely. Breaches and poor fire stopping are located, photographed and recorded. The survey is non-destructive, and anything not reached is stated in the report.
Common questions
Ask us directly and you will get a straight answer.
020 8194 2494info@adeptify.co.ukHow often should fire doors be checked in flats?
In England, buildings over 11 metres with two or more homes must have common part fire doors checked at least every three months, and flat entrance doors at least once a year on a best endeavours basis, under the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.
How often should fire doors be checked in other buildings?
There is no single legal interval outside the 2022 Regulations. Your fire risk assessment should set one, based on how heavily the doors are used and how they are managed. Busy doors in schools, offices and shared buildings are commonly checked more often than once a year.
Do you carry out the repairs?
No. We inspect and report, so the findings are never shaped by the value of the work.
